I begin with painting patterns of large sheets of paper with luscious colors and pattern. I cut out designs and apply them to ¾ inch hardwood boards. The acrylic polymer coating takes 3 days to harden. This is actually a counter top resin that acts as a frame and protection for the art. Then the edges are sanded and painted in complimentary color so the pieces appear to float from the walls.
